![]() When I picked it up, to my shock and surprise, the machinist told me that the table was warped by. I have recently taken the saw table to a machine shop in town for surface grinding, on a hunch that the table might be slightly warped. Until I find me a good old cabinet saw, I'm sticking with my trusty, tilting table saw. It operates very smoothly now, and is still remarkably accurate. I managed to get most of the parts I needed to replace from my local Delta service centre, with the exception of some fibre washers, which I made myself. This spring, after years of project work, I disassembled the saw and overhauled it. It was not in the best of shape, but everything seemed to be there, (including the blade guard which I removed and stored). I had no idea that such an animal existed. I found this saw advertised in the local newspaper's classifieds. I didn't have a lot of money at the time, and I needed a table saw to get started with some furniture building. I bought this saw after I purchased my first house. Also, an old Westinghouse 3/4 hp motor is attached. All castings are dated 11-52, and the serial number is stamped 110-3913.
